About

Hi! I’m Tiffany Champagne, a second-term MLIS student at The University of Western Ontario. Thanks for reading my blog!

I got my Bachelor of Arts from Brescia University College, one of Western’s affiliates, with a major in History and a minor in English Language and Literature — so perhaps it’s not surprising I ultimately went to the MLIS program. This blog hopes to document the journey I’m taking as I work my ways towards my degree, with the hopes that it might be useful for incoming MLIS students, or anyone else who is interested in the work required to get the degree.

Currently I’m taking the following courses:

  • Privacy and Surveillance, which has a related Tumblr
  • Government Information
  • Web Design and Architecture
  • Public Libraries
  • ¬†Introduction to Information Behaviour

When I’m not working on MLIS work, I enjoy such solitary pursuits as reading, writing, watching movies, and drawing. I also have the odd hobby of ogling pictures of historical costume; I love the clothes, but I’m also quite happy in the modern age. There isn’t much time these days for hobbies, but I try my best to squeeze a bit of light reading in here and there!
